Bethany Linz: The French Collection

The French Collection by Bethany Linz pays tribute to the cultural shifts that were happening in the 1700’s in France. As the world opened to wider travel and trade, new exotic elements began to appear in both art and culture. Bethany tells us more about this exciting collection, “My inspiration for this collection stems right back to my fine art roots and studying classical art, from its architecture to its textiles. I wanted to put a more modern but still timeless approach to this collection. I found inspiration from classic archival wallpaper books, featuring tiny hand-painted geometric patterns and exotic tropical fruits and birds with techniques of modern designers like Kelly Wearstler. I love Wearstler’s use of colour and textures. I actually used her interiors as my colour inspiration for this collection.”
